How It Works:
- Mica opacifies nail color and adds a pearlescent effect.
- Nitrocellulose is a film forming ingredient that thickens nail polishes and colors.
- Glycol copolymer gives nail color a flexible finish and promotes adhesion to nail and other nail layers.
Suggested Use: Layer over nail color in one or two coats and top with preferred top coat.

"I love these, but my only complaint is that they can really take over a dark base color. My solution is to mix some with clear nail polish on a plastic baggie and then apply that to the nail. With that trick, you can make the effect as subtle as you want.
Violet shimmer looks beautiful over a light blue (I used Orly's Frisky) and Copper Shimmer looks amazing over dark blues (I dilute some with clear polish for this)."

"I LOVE THIS! I know it's pricey - but it's great to add shimmer over a cream color, throw on over a shatter mani or change the look of a several days old mani. I love the violet over a black or dark red polish & the gold shimmer over a mani with my Nicole holographic heart polish. I also love the gold shimmer over neon colors. The effects are subtle over lighter colored polishes & more dramatic over darker ones. I add my quick drying top coat over them since can't bother to wait for my nails to dry, & that adds a lot of luster. If you want a more dramatic effect you'll need to add 2 coats, or get the CND Sparkle."

"I wanted to like this more than I did. I bought the ice blue shimmer, and it does visibly change the look of the polish, I'm just not sure I like it very much. Hard to know what colors it would look best over. Also a little pricey compared to just the normal polishes. I think if you had a specific look in mind or knew how to match the shade of shimmer with shades of nail polish it would be more fun. As for me, I'll just stick to buying polishes that already have shimmer or some sort of iridescence."

"These are a top coat you can paint over any nail polish color for a veil of colored shimmer. I like the effect, but mine arrived with a half empty bottle and the nail polish was everywhere. The lid was still tight on, I don't know where the spill came from. I'm not sure if it's a defect in packaging design, or I just got a defective product. But be aware of the problem if you are ordering online."
