"I bought this set with the goal of streamlining my makeup for travel, and it's exactly what I was hoping for. The formulas are fine, and the colors are all very wearable, without a lot of bells and whistles and nonsense I won't use. And the variety will cover looks that go with just about anything in my wardrobe. Now with a primer, foundation, liner, mascara, and a basic set of brushes, I'll be ready for anything. One star deducted for the cardboard packaging -- otherwise, I'm very pleased."

"This is a good makeup kit, overall. It's good for throwing in your purse. There are lots of great colors in here. However, it is made in China. (I avoid made in China cosmetics because of quality control concerns.) And if you're trying to figure out if any of those eyeshadow colors are black, they're not. There's a dark brown and a dark blue, but no black."

"I ordered this because I thought it had black eyeshadow (I needed black, but would rather buy a mini palette than just black eyeshadow). However, this kit doesn't have any black eyeshadow. Also, it's made in China. I'm not saying it's bad quality. (I honestly haven't tried it yet) I'm just concerned about quality-control and product safety."
