"It's so hard to find shadow palettes with just matte shadows, so I was so happy to see this one! I'm 65 and shimmery shadows look crinkly on my eyelids, so these matte shades are a much better choice. The color payoff is excellent (although I always use a shadow base), and the shadows didn't crease or fade. I had never used theBalm shadows before and I'm very impressed with this collection and the product quality. A nice color range in this palette from pales to deeps. This will be my basic go-to shadow palette for pretty much any occasion."

"Nice colors, but I have found even after tapping the applicator to remove excess, the color does not stay put. A few hours later it looks like I have a black eye when wearing the darker shades. I use urban decay lid primer and dont have this trouble with Tarte or other quality shadows.
Too bad, really wanted to like these..I think the price for the small palette is just too high to keep it if I don't love it and use it daily."
