How It Works:

"I did not care for this stuff. The "stain" portion goes on totally uneven and patchy. Even when only trying to put on one layer, or putting on multiple layers, it still was splotchy looking. The only reason I gave it two stars was because the balm is actually really nice. I wouldn't spend this much money on a lip balm though. O.O"

"Ordered this because I love another drugstore brand lip stain. This one was dried up, even stored with the tip down, I can't get enough stain out of the thing to color a whole lip. Love the balm, I squished it into a tin to keep using after throwing away the dud stains."

"I love this lipstain and balm. It stays on all day and does not crack. It says smooth and feels good on. I also love the balm but for an evening look, I used a clear lip gloss instead and it worked great. I look forward to trying more colors."

"If you don't want to pay for higher end brand names for a lip stain then this is it. I honestly think that all lip stain. The difference is what lines have what color. I prefer this over the "creamy color stay on __hrs lip" stuff. Those for one can get flaky and if not moisturized right will definitely make you look like you have plastic lips. I definitely started out with using the MAC color stay lip color and wow did I go through the clear moisture gloss that came with it. So with that being said, tinted lip stains like this are AMAZING. "

"I love this stain! I have it in passion and the color is awesome. It's a bit dark sometimes so it's best to apply with a light hand if you don't want a in your face effect. I love the tube it comes in, very simple and cute but I hate that stupid little nub of chapstick you get. It breaks off so easy so you have to be really careful to be gentle which isn't easy if you're rushing out the door or just not thinking which is why I gave this 4 out of 5 stars. I do love this though and the color payoff is awesome. It is kind of drying but all lipstains are so it's nothing unusual. "

"Does just what it says...stains the lips, doesn't look like you're wearing lipstick as the color is matte and natural looking and stays on much longer than lipstick or gloss. I use this as a lip base so after my lipstick wears off, my lips still have some color to them. "

"LOL the other reviewers crack me up. Lipstains have to be applied differently to work differently :p
I LOVE this product. I'm mediterranean, so the bold colors work for my skin tone, and it really looks like my lips were *just bitten*.
It looks, feels and goes on like a magic marker. I started laughing when i first pulled off the cap. I felt like a giddy 5 year old putting on mommy's makeup--or just drawing on myself with marker.
My only qualm is that the so-called balm was nothing more than semi-solid lipgloss. It broke off when I tried to put it on, and I just tossed the gloss/balm chunk, and keep using the stain. I can use my own preferred balm lol.
Overall, this is a go-to product!"
