"This is a pretty average primer. I didn't notice a shrink in pores, however it definitely mattified my skin and helped my makeup stay on a little longer than usual.
I took a star off because of the terrible packaging. Nearing the end of the jar, I really have to dig my fingers into it to get it out, and a lot of it ends up under my fingernails which is a gross feeling.
Another star deducted for the price. Granted, this is a good price for a primer, however, I'd expect it to be cheaper considering it's a L'Oreal drugstore product. I think it's 13 dollars because of the fancy glass jar, not the quality of the product itself..
But, I would buy this primer again just because it's cheaper than high-end primers, and it works pretty well too. Very glad it mattifies. I just wish this came in a squeeze-tube of some sort!"

"I wanted to like this, as I was searching for a cheaper alternative to the sublime Smashbox Photofinish, but I found this to be very difficult to blend into my skin. It riled up all sorts of flakes the first time I used it. Just not right for my skin type, I guess."

"I don't usually put anything on my face besides my moisterizer, but I took a chance and tried this and so happy I did. I love this product. I put it on after the moisterizer and blend it all around and it's like my face is a perfect canvas to work with. The make-up doesn't touch my skin, it touches this which makes my skin so smooth to work with. And you don't have to spend a fortune to have a face primer, thnik it works better than anything you can get at a dept store"

"i got this product because i heard it smooths skin texture and minimizes pores. ive tried so many others that promised to do the same with no luck but this is by far the BEST primer i have EVER tried! beats out the more expensive brands in an instant! i will say for best results its better to leave in for a while before applying foundation on top. i use it on my tzone for oily skin and it works wonders!!"

"This was the first face primer I tried - my mom actually recommended it to me. For the price, its absolutely amazing!!! You don't need a lot of this product and it mattifies, smooths, and evens out the skin. I've only used it under my foundation, but if you have the skin for it, it would be fine by itself (I tend to have T-zone shine, and this stuff eliminates it). It seems to be a bit too thick for use under the eyes (tends to cake up for me) and too heavy for the summer. I have normal/combo dry skin and wore it no-problem during the fall/winter/spring. My mom has very dry skin and she enjoys it, so it really will work for a variety of skin types. I would recommend this product!"

"So this product works great as a primer. I have oily and acne prone skin. It did help reduce shine, even out skin tone, and did last all day. However, I totally broke out after using it for a week. Not only did I break out in the usual spots (t-zone, and chin), but I also broke out in new spots like on my cheeks and the sides of my nose. And I took about another 3 weeks to get my face back to normal. So this face primer is not for me."

"I have used many primers because I have really oily skin. I like how primers keep my cosmetics looking fresh, but some of them are fairly expensive. I tried this when it was introduced, and because it wasn't very expensive I thought if it it didn't work well, no big loss. I am extremely pleased that I gave it a shot. I am very impressed with the performance of this primer. It works just as well as the high end primers I have used in the past, and since it is an everyday staple, I can spend more on other things rather than primers."
