How It Works:
- Titanium dioxide is a pure mineral tinting powder that offers strong protection from UV rays.
- Zinc oxide encourages healing of skin disorders and has antiseptic properties. It is also an antioxidant-rich sunblock that prevents photodamage.
- Mica is a mineral known for containing light-reflecting particles to give skin an even-toned appearance.
- Pine bark extract has potent antioxidant properties that protect skin from damaging free radicals.
Suggested Use: Swirl a jane iredale Handi™ Brush around the cake. Use the side of the compact to tap off any excess powder. Begin application where you want the most coverage, using downward strokes. Then layer the minerals over the rest of your face and neck.
More Information: All of the jane iredale formulas have multiple benefits for skin. All are safe for acne-prone skin and sensitive skin. They are completely noncomedogenic and allow skin to breathe. They can be used immediately following microdermabrasion procedures and light peels (check with a physician before using any makeup after a laser resurfacing). All of the products are water- and perspiration-resistant and keep skin from drying out. None of the jane iredale formulas contain talc or parabens, and none have been tested on animals.

I've tried mineral foundations in the past but the bismuth oxychloride in them made my face itch. PurePressed has none of that, and my sensitive skin thanks me. It goes on smoothly and by buffing it in it looks natural. A definite keeper for me."

"I really love this as a foundation. The coverage is perfect because it looks really natural, while still doing a great job of covering imperfections. I used to use Bare Minerals, and I discovered I liked this better, because it does give you a more flawless look. I have rosacea/acne prone skin, and this does a great job of evening out my skin tone, and it never is irritating. The only down side to this is that it doesn't last all through the work day, and I usually would need to re-apply. I wouldn't mind, but because it is a compact, a couple of times the powder broke, got all over the place, and I had to throw it out, so it's not super portable. Also, to make it last longer, I would recommend using it with a primer or the Jane Iredale setting mist."

"All i can say is: wow. 10 stars. I don't use a lot of makeup on my face (foundation, powder, etc) and this stuff doesn't make you look like you're wearing anything at all, and ive tried all those other powders (from cheap to uber expensive) incl mineral ones that claim to look natural, but I can always tell. What this does is keep you looking clean and fresh, which is what i think is the best kind of makeup. It claims to be ultra waterproof, and I gotta admit I didn't really expect anything much but it seriously IS ultra waterproof (you can see water droplets sitting on top of the powder if you test it on your hand). You can also blend it in with water for a more matte look (and its still waterproof...i cant explain this!), but I promise you won't even remember you're wearing anything on your face.
Beautiful classic looking packaging, and heaavvy-which I love-and from the looks of it, it's gonna last a very long time. Got it in Natural for my fair Chinese skin and it's perfection. Can't rave on enough! "

"The color recommendations are off. If you're tan, don't get 'golden glow.' It made my face extremely pale. I ended up having to exchange it for 'teakwood' which is very nice. "I was looking for a sheer foundation that neutralizes my redness and is easy to apply. I decided to look at mineral foundations because other foundations, even high-end brands like Bobbi Brown, have made me break out and I also wanted a natural product. I have fair skin that both freckles and tans easily. I chose "Radiance" based on the color chart on Jane Iredale's website. The color was slightly pale for me, but I am unusually tan right now. I find this very easy to apply and I think it offers the perfect amount of coverage. Also, no break outs! "Hands down the best foundation out there! I have used everything under the sun and there's nothing else out there like this foundation. The coverage you get along with how natural this foundations looks is completely unparalleled by anything else out there. Plus I have super sensitive skin with rosacea and the coverage it provides for the redness and acne I get is wonderful. Not to mention this foundation lasts for ages so the price is extremely forgivable. I didn't replace this foundation for the first time until nine months after I'd first bought it. "I use this in Golden Glow and its my perfect match in every way! The application I prefer is using the vibrating sponge head from my Lancome Oscillation foundation. "This is my favorite mineral powder to use. It doesn't fly all over the place and is easier to transport than loose mineral powder. I also feel like the coverage builds up more quickly. "This is a great lightweight powder that goes on smooth, never cakey-looking. It has a nice silky texture and I like that it has sunscreen protection. I primarily use it in the summer. In the winter when my face is drier I like the Liquid Minerals foundation. The one negative with pressed powder (compared to loose) is that it doesn't last as long - especially for the price. I used to use Bare Minerals loose powder but J.I. has a softer finish. "
