Day Look: Smooth a medium shade on eyelid from lash line up to the eye crease. Next, blend a deeper shade into and slightly above the crease of your eye.
Evening Look: Sweep the lightest shade from lash line to brow bone. Then, apply the deepest shade close to your lash line and blend into the outer eye crease for more definition.

"I have this eyeshadow pallet in Shimmering Sands, and have used it religiously since high school. The neutral colors are perfect for creating both day and night looks The champagne color works as a great all over lid color and doubles as a highlight for the inner corner and cheekbones. These shadows last a long time and are smooth and creamy and easy to blend. They are also surprisingly pigmented and long lasting even without a primer. This pallet is great for girls who are just starting out with makeup, and will continue to be a favorite for women it their 20s and beyond."

"I have this particular quad in "Sheerly Nudes" and like it as an everyday, neutral eyeshadow palette. When used with an eyeshadow primer and/or base, these look wonderful on the eye.
Some things I think Covergirl (and it's parent company, Procter & Gamble) should do is improve the formula, so it's more pigmented, and update the packaging, as it's very old-fashioned in comparison to similarly priced drugstore eyeshadows."
