You may feel warmth or see a blush upon first application, which should typically last no more than 1-2 hours. This means that StriVectin-SD®’s NIA-114™ is helping to strengthen the skin barrier. If uncomfortable, apply a cold compress. If you experience this in the first several days of use, consider an alternative application routine: slowly add products every other day with a light application, gradually increasing use until the full regimen is incorporated over 10 days. To gauge your skin’s tolerance before use, apply a patch test of product to the jawline or side of the neck and monitor the area for at least 30 minutes.

"I am so dissapointed with this. I don't doubt it has worked for many people, but it made be break out in an itchy rash that kind of feels like a bad sun burn. The funny thing is that it only does this on my body (for stretch marks) and not my face (for fine lines). I want to keep using it on my face, but am afraid that it will eventualy break me out. The other funny thing is that I've never had a reaction to anything like this, and I don't have sensitive skin. "

"I have stretch marks on my hips (near my butt) from when I was 13 and lost a lot of weight. You cannot permanently get rid of stretch marks unless you have laser surgery, but this product fades the marks very well. For one, it moisturizes the skin, which plumps the marks and helps them to blend in with the skin surrounding it. Also, the lotion helps to fade discoloration. If I had used this product right when I saw my stretch marks they would barely be visible. I recommend using this product every night so skin can absorb and regenerate. Great buy! My derm also recommends this product. "

"At first I didn't think this product was working. I used some of my moms several years back and then tried it again after having my son. I wanted so desperately for it to work as good as some people say it does, but I didn't really notice any difference in stretch marks or wrinkles. HOWEVER, after giving it one last try I realized that you have to be consistent with it if you want it to work. I put it on every day and twice a day if I can remember and the results are in...it does work. For how long? Not sure about that, but I'm hoping for good things."
