 The Imedeen Story

Imedeen was developed in the 1980s by Swedish biochemist Ake Dahlgren, who observed that certain marine extracts could help protect and restore skin structure and function when taken orally. Dahlgren took his product to Danish health care company Ferrosan, which is the developer and manufacturer of Imedeen. Started in 1920 by Danish pharmacist Niels Jacob Herman Weitzmann, Ferrosan’s first product was a low-dose iron upplement called Idozan, designed to combat anemia. In 1930, Ferrosan launched its first vitamin supplement, intended to combat rickets. Throughout the years, Ferrosan and its products have expanded. 

Since 1991, Imedeen has been known as a leading skincare supplement product, and in 2000, Ferrosan launched a new generation of Imedeen called Imedeen Time Perfection™.
